THE EGG HUNT KIDS DUATHLON
The Egg Hunt will be the first race in the Publix Family Fitness Weekend series, held at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This event will be a duathlon (run-bike-run) and distances will vary by age and ability.These are our age recommendations for each distance, but parents are welcome to move the kids up or down based on their kids ability.
Recommended distances by age:
Ages 9-17: 0.5 mile run, 3.3 mile bike (2 laps), 1.65 mile run (1 lap)
Ages 5-8: 0.5 mile run, 1.65 mile run (1 lap), 0.5 mile run
DATE & TIME: Saturday, April 3rd @ 9am*
* Note: Start time of the kids race is dependant on ALL adults finishing their course. We will start as soon as the course is open and safe for the kids to enter. Please arrive early as park roads & entrances may be closed for the adult race.
REGISTRATION: Cost is $15 (plus $5 annual USAT membership) and is now OPEN! As registration begins to fill-up, we will post updates to the "Egg" on the right.

PACKET PICK-UP: Times, dates, and locations for packet pick-up will be posted as the race gets closer.
PRE-RACE CLINIC: As this is a Saturday race, the clinic for the kids will be held in the morning while the adults are racing. We will have a separate Transition Area where kids and parents can meet, ask questions about the race, and about multisport in general. Specific times for the session will be posted as the race gets closer.
